Trained as a German elite soldier Rouven knows what it takes to make the impossible possible. His athletic history involves 10 years of soccer, 11 years of Thaiboxing and other martial arts, and a variety of running competitions (such as 100 km ultra marathon run in Bornem, Belgium). He additionally competed in several Kickboxing and Thaiboxing fights in Europe. In his 4 years as an elite German soldier he learned how to master the difficult balance between endurance and strength, performing at the highest level in both areas.
Rouven began his career as a personal trainer in Ottersberg, Germany, where he offered specialized training to numerous clients. In an effort to be at the forefront of health and fitness, Rouven traveled to North America and decided to settle in Canada. Since then he has continued to update his knowledge base through various avenues, such as courses, literature, the international institutes of Health and Physical Performance and of course his own training with top athletes.

In 2002 Chelsea graduated from the University of Otago in New Zealand with a Bachelor of Physical Education and Bachelor of Commerce. Chelsea decided that an exchange to the University of Toronto would challenge and motivate her even further and that is how she was introduced to Canada!
During her time in New Zealand Chelsea was an avid sports person, involved in tennis, netball (a top female sport in New Zealand and Australia), competitive aerobics, and gymnastics. Competitive aerobics became her passion and she was crowned national under-17 champion for 3 years in a row. This led her naturally to the field of health and fitness.
Managing the Bloor Park Club (Sports Clubs of Canada and later Goodlife) in downtown Toronto, Chelsea remained heavily involved in new and interesting advancements and progressions in the fitness field. She was pleased to make the aquaintance of Rouven during that time and to embark on the new and exciting project of Fit Squad.
